Young Dolph Shot and Killed in Memphis Buying Cookies

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Three autonomous law authorization sources affirmed to FOX13 that rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed in Memphis Wednesday evening.

Maurice Hill, the proprietor of the shop where the shooting occurred, Makeda's Butter Cookies, told FOX13 his workers said Young Dolph, 36, strolled into the store to purchase treats. Somebody then, at that point, drove up and afterward shot and killed him around 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the bread shop in South Memphis.

Young Dolph was there only seven days prior, spreading love and advancing the organizations.

Young Dolph's Lamborghini sat in the parking garage of the pastry kitchen when news teams showed up. The rapper, whose genuine name is Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr. is notable in the Memphis people group. In 2016, he delivered his presentation studio collection, King of Memphis.

As FOX13 teams revealed from the scene, a monstrous group assembled around, certain individuals laying on the ground in tears. Young Dolph is notable for giving out turkeys around Thanksgiving in Memphis through the Memphis Athletic Ministries noble cause, addressing younger students and giving cash to his previous secondary school Hamilton High School.

Young Dolph was to pass out turkeys at a Memphis church this Friday like he usually does on Thanksgiving. The Memphis Police Department said someone else was with Young Dolph at the hour of the shooting. Traffic in the space is stopped. On I-40 nearby, traffic is also at a standstill.

Rapper Gucci Mane said that his heart is broken by the information, considering Young Dolph a dear companion.


Young Dolph leaves behind family, including his cousin individual Memphis rapper Key Glock. No data about the shooter has been delivered by police yet. The story is still developing.
